It is the company's ambition to
work on the interface of development and humanitarian aid in conflict-prone
areas around the world. KC addresses structural conditions causing poverty and
instability, by emphasizing an improvement of livelihoods and governance
practices, while strengthening the use of conflict-sensitive approaches.
Company Profile
John Krijnen has a thirty years
exposure to developing countries, out of which eighteen as a resident. John has
a profound interest in the social and political realities of the developing
world, in the challenges of sustainable development and post-conflict
rehabilitation, as well as in the opportunities of cultural exchange and
dialogue. His lengthy experience in programme and project design and management,
in which he has succeeded to reach a good balance between task- and people
orientation, have made him a skilled team-leader and player, as demanding to
himself as to others.
John Krijnen is a member of
Nedworc Association, the Netherlands' Network of Freelance Consultants. He is
also a member of the Support Group to the Direction of Water and Environment of
the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In Africa the later direction works
on the interface of sustainable natural resources management and conflict
rehabilitation in the Great Lakes Region and in the Horn of Africa.
In order to respond to specific needs, for
which John does not have the required competencies, the company is in a position
to call upon support from its international network partners, consisting of
freelance consultants and consultancy companies, with their main seats either in
Europe or in the South.
